President Raul Castro will step down on Thursday, April 19. The national assembly will vote for the next president, who will be limited to two 5-year terms. The most likely candidate (but not 100% guaranteed) will be Miguel Diaz-Canel, age 57. In spite of articles by some generally uninformed writers, the amount of real change during Raul Castro’s term has been substantial. Perhaps President Diaz-Canal will learn to compliment President Trump (while quietly realizing what a pathetic “leader” the US suffers under).
My theory is that once President Castro steps down, President Trump can claim credit for “ridding Cuba of the Castro Brothers.” Trump could then re-establish diplomatic relations and be a “hero” to Cubans everywhere!
There is one other matter that many Americans have forgotten about. I believe on April 26, without further intervention, more classified information about the JFK assassination will be released. The timing of this release is suspect. Many people (including myself) believe the most likely suspect was Oswald, on orders from Fidel Castro. At the time it happened, the U.S. had made many attempts to assassinate Fidel, so sometimes we reap what we sow.
